In this second post I have greatly been inspired by the things that I have read. In the position on whether or not Google Scholar is a good resource for doctoral research, I would weight it as any other search tool. It is only as good as the foundation it stands on. What I mean about that statement is, if the information that you find has no credibility, then it can’t help you. I was reading in the Researchers of Tomorrow: The Research Behavior of Generation Y Doctoral Students in different groups was looking for particular information. This information raged from mathematical data to scientific data. Depending on that information research that student (after doing the research) must evaluate the validity of that information found. I don’t
What I did – I reviewed 10 employee expense reports to determine if corresponding receipts were attached and approvals had been provided, and I also assessed whether reported payments were eligible for reimbursement based on Schnitzer Steel Accounting Manual Section 300-10 (Expense Report Approval Procedure and Supporting Documentation Requirement) and 300-20(Expense Report Eligibility Requirement). After two exceptions were identified, I pulled 40 more employee expense reports based on Schnitzer Steel Internal Audit Manual – Chapter 2: Sampling Methodology to determine if the exceptions were isolated instances or systemic issues. What I found – Within the initial 10 expense reports, I found two exceptions. Specifically, Sample No.7 with a total amount over $1,000 did not have required evidence of second approval from a department head, and Sample No.9 was missing one receipt.
Discuss these 2 scenarios and outcomes; 1: Your computer just crashed. It is 5 years old and not worth fixing. You have not more than $1,000 to spend on a new computer but the lowest price that you can find either online or in a local store for the model that you absolutely need is $1,100. What would you say to the salesperson to convince him or her to sell you the computer for $1,000.00 Consider objections that the sales representative might make and how you would respond to them?

I explained the purpose of the interview and explained that she was not the subject of the interview. Schemer explained that on Friday, December 11, 2015 at approximately 0610 hours, she was in the mail room along with PSS Perry when Hale came in and immediately made a statement about the more people he killed today, the better it would feel. There was no discussion or conversation prior to Hale’s violent statements, he literally walked in and announced he wanted to kill people that day. While Schemer understands current policy forbids clandestine recording of co-workers, she felt it necessary to record his statements due to their violent nature, therefore she hit the record button on her iPhone. Schemer went on to describe Hale’s continued
Mary Ann and Jack Gaffney told me to update them also, Jane Volk told me with giving me a letter and business card that employees couldn't harass or retaliate against me Ron Hartman echoed the same. I started referring to sections in the contract or University Policies when Mary Ann started quoting or emailed them to me with little support from the union or university. I couldn’t believe Pitt or the Union would let this go on Franicola, Supervisor and Donna Myers, Maintenance told several employees the University and union were making deals together Also; this wasn’t a real Union is that why they weren’t acknowledging my email? The Union or University wouldn’t take responsibility for Franicola coercing employees against each other and the favoritism. Yes,

Performance Improvement Plan is used to improve employee performance, modify behavior and correct discrepancies. Employees put under the PIP have their work closely monitored. However to employees the PIP is not really a positive thing. It should be considered as a final warning or the last step to being fired.
For this week I have been using Zotero to organize and look up useful academic journals to use for my three new citations. Combined with Zotero, I have also been using Ebsco to help find some interesting topics related to the setting that I wanted to focus my points on. Zotero’s feature of allowing me to save the PDF and bookmarking useful articles was really convenient and saved me a lot of time. Zotero’s feature of creating bibliographies also saved me quite some time, as it allowed me to go straight to the annotations for my readings. Everything went smoothly and efficiently with the combination of Ebsco and Zotero together.
Before this class, I perceived myself as a poor writer. When someone has never been taught the proper way to write a paper, you struggle through college SOC 300 (Dr. Stephen Adair) and hoped to get more out of SOC 478 (Dr. Fumilayo Showers) as you attend classes. I never thought about the process that it took to write any paper before these classes. However, these two professors have been very inspirational toward my writing.
The transmutation from the fall semester to the spring, was quite strenuous, no longer was I a part time student. I was taking 16 credits and this meant adjusting to the course load. The first couple of weeks were a hassle and I felt that there were not enough days in the week to complete the assignments. Now, in the mid semester, one of my main priorities was to purchase a planner and a calendar.
Week Two Reflective Journal Psa 139:14(KJV) “I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvellous are thy works; and that my soul knoweth right well.” Our God is an awesome God for He has masterfully created His masterpiece when He created man. Who would know better how our bodies are to function than the one who made them. When God designed our bodies, He designed them and formed our inward parts (Psalm 139:13) with its’ own personal biological clock. “Our bodies roughly synchronize with the 24-hour cycle of day and night by an internal biological clock called the circadian rhythm” (Myers, 2014, p. 93). This clock when undisturbed regulates many vital psychological processes but a very important function of this clock is to tell us when our bodies need to sleep and rest.
1. What problems did you encounter when handling the complaint? Whenever I received complaints, the problem is that the subordinates usually deny or come up with some explanations making it difficult to discuss it in a genuine manner. Sometimes even if we reprimand them for their mistakes it creates a very tense environment in the hospital and it also affects the quality of work.
Introduction Over the past year, I have learned a lot of valuable lessons in the VIC151 course. Not only did the course challenge me to question my previous beliefs on education, it also provided me the opportunity to expand my understanding of a number of interesting topics such as social justice education, mindfulness, holistic education, progressive education, and multicultural education. The following portfolio is an amalgamation of the various items I believe represent my experience in the VIC151 course. Philosophy of Teaching Critical Pedagogy
During these past weeks at the Archbold ER, I had the opportunity to put into practice many of the content learned in class. This included but was not limited to the proper placement of a Foley catheter using sterile techniques, insertion of an NG tube, and assessment of patients. Even though I attempted to complete some of my initial goals for this internship, I noticed that I couldn’t complete a few of them due to lack of time and lack of experience in the field. Therefore, some of my goals that I’ll need to address during the following three weeks include improve my assessment skills, have better communication with my patients, and improve my questioning to get a better understanding of the cause that brought them in. One the most beneficial
