Following the Coast Guard’s Civil Rights Directorate, PO Koenig demanded a civilian contractor refrain from using inappropriate and harassing comments of a sexual nature in the workplace. To prevent future disparaging comments PO Koenig reported this incident through his chain of command, as well as the contractor’s supervisor who took immediate and permanent action to prevent future incidents. PO Koenig is a highly respected leader who embodies the motto “Not in My Coast Guard” by demonstrating zero tolerance for any sexually offensive behavior or comments.
