Funds for My Roller Coaster Ride of a Life Bear with me here. It will probably come to your surprise that I just decided what I wanted to do for a living a week ago. One of the main things that has helped me decide was the positive and supportive environment at Haysville High School. HHS has given me a scholarship opportunity that I am incredibly thankful for. This essay will express my dreams, my financial situation, and my intention on why I need this scholarship. To begin with, a week ago today I realized I want to be a 911 Dispatcher after I needed to call an ambulance for my sister. For starters, as I watched my sister scream in pain, hollering for the ambulance and I hastily called the 911 operator, I had one of those “epiphany moments”. …show more content…
To begin, life has not been particularly easy for me. In fact, it has been lonely and challenging at times. On the contrary, it was not until I came to HHS that I started to develop a concrete vision for my future ahead of me. When my teacher, Mrs. White, told me that I got a 44 on my reading, and a 48 on my writing for my COMPASS tests, it made me so proud of myself. In all honesty, I am now excited to find a college that fits me. Mind you one year ago I possessed not one single plan on going to college. I am finally ready to face my fear of the real world and get my foot in the door. By receiving this scholarship, I have that extra nudge of “you’ve got this” and additional reassurance that I have never developed until now, and I am confident to make everyone surrounding me …show more content…
This is my last year of primary school, and it has sure been a roller coaster of emotions. Specifically I am finally planning my future for myself and I do not think anyone realizes how amazing it feels to finally “know” where you are headed. From eighth grade being devastated over one C in science out of all A’s, to falling behind junior year, and to trying the hardest I ever have to succeed my senior year, I am ready to make these immense
As I was getting ready for school, I told myself, "I 'm so excited to finally go to school! I can 't wait to get there! I bet it 's going to be the best thing ever!" Once I finally arrive to school, I realize what it is actually like. My teacher, Miss Fisher, doesn 't seem to like that I already know how to read.
If your heart is set on a certain career and you want or require a degree, you can use those scholarships to pave the way to your dreams of having a lifelong career that you furthered your education for. Even if your plans don’t work out, as long as you have your degree in a field
I used to think that going to high school would be scary, but with all my friends and everything that my teachers have taught me, all I feel now is excited. I want it to be the first day of 9th grade fast, I want to start High School. I know that my friends would be here when I need them as well as teachers willing to help me. So it 's time today to end the second part of our education and enter the third. It 's time to leave behind the middle school facility, say goodbye to the U14 teams and be introduced to JV, and most of all, time to go from the middle school community that we 're familiar with, that we love, and that we are in charge of, and go upstairs to the bigger, busier, and honestly, scarier high school, where we will all be 9th graders.
its been a hard but well thought out event in my life. I not only want to pursue my goal but also want to be successful in a well paying career. Most people don't find the courage to back to school but I am glad I found motivation at vista College. I have already
Since I only live with my mom,and she just has one job to pay all of our bills, paying for college is far from our minds. Even though my mom has worked hard to give me everything I needed and supported me all my life, she just doesn’t have enough to afford the privilege of me going to college. But with the help of this scholarship, I might be able to get a college education. If I get this scholarship,I promise that I will not leave it to waste. I will apply this scholarship to help me in my first years at TMCC.
My journey consisted of many good and bad times, and throughout the years I discovered my strengths and weaknesses. I made new friends, took on different tests, accomplished many things. My first year was my most difficult, being new to the school, but as the years went by, school became a more fun experience for me. Knowing that the 4 years of high school was a journey for me, I was able to brace myself for the difficult times to come and the rewards I was going to receive. At the end of the journey, I had gained a lot from these 4 years, but it also prepared me for my next journey, my journey through university.
While I am facing some financial constraints, which may limit my ability to pursue higher education in the field of computer science I am however determined to overcome these challenges and achieve my goals. I am confident that this scholarship would provide me with the financial support that I need to pursue my education and career

This scholarship would help me achieve my educational goals by allowing me to explore more of these classes, trying things like ceramics, and 3D modeling, the art field has grown so much more interesting to me, and its right in front of me, I just need the resources to grab it. I have even considered shifting in the direction of pursuing an Associate in graphic design here at wake tech, I feel so comfortable here, and with the array of classes provided, I feel I have more than everything necessary to grow and find success in my field. With this scholarship I would pursue more hands-on art classes, developing my style and my skills more and more with each class, this would also allow me to have the materials needed to achieve these goals, especially because art supplies can really get steep in price, but it’s worth it to grow my craft as an
Statement for Scholarship This writing is to address why I believe I would be a great candidate for a first year study scholarship to the UNLV Masters in Nursing Program. I have never actually applied for scholarship funding before. I have always worked to finance my schooling, received Pell grant funding or taken out student loans. I believe that furthering my education is one of only a few reasons to go into debt, and because of that I have been willing to take on loans as a result.
After highschool, I plan to attend college, I’m not sure where yet, or what exactly I am going to go for. I have learned that money doesn 't buy happiness. I will be in a career that I love first, that I enjoy going to everyday of my life, and one that I can make an impact on this world for the better. School is a key component in my road map for life, because it gets me to my end
A year ago when this scholarship was released, a senior asked me for ideas to include in their essay and I had absolutely zero. It wasn't until the end of my final basketball season that I really grasped the importance of being a tiger athlete and realized what I was going to miss in the upcoming years. For six years, I put everything I had into one sport, and I asked myself more than once what I was getting out of all this effort. Now after endless hours in the gym and weight room, after shedding ounces of blood, sweat and tears I realize what being an athlete gave back to me, and it's even more than I gave to it. Being a tiger athlete taught me the values of true friendships, hard work, leadership, and determination.
I aspire to become a freelance graphic designer. The day I opened my acceptance letter from Georgia Southern University, I was excited. Then I received my invitation to apply for the scholarships and I was ecstatic. I feel that I should be selected as a Georgia Southern Scholarship recipient because I am a dedicated candidate who values education and loves to learn. I have always been an inquisitive person.
This scholarship is a wonderful opportunity for students of GVSU, and I am honored to be considered for this scholarship. I believe that I am a great applicant for this scholarship, and that I deserve this scholarship. One reason I deserve this scholarship is because of my strong academic courses. Throughout my high school career, I pushed myself academically by taking a total of 10 AP classes and 7 honors classes. These classes were all challenging, yet I pushed through with determination to complete the classes to the best of my ability.
1. How would receiving the scholarship be transformational in your life, and why are you deserving of a scholarship? Receiving a scholarship would be transformational to my life because it would allow me to keep attending this school. I'm an out-of-state student, so money is a current issue for my family. While we have enough money for me to attend college next year, I need to do my part and help contribute to my educational goals.
