I undoubtedly believe that teachers in Australia should not be allowed to carry guns at school. I do not believe the public should have the rights to guns in Australia, only the high and certain members of the police force and the Australian defence force should be allowed access to guns only when on active duty. Even though I don't think teachers should be allowed to have or carry firearms anywhere, I do believe everyone should be able to defend him or her selves. Teachers should be allowed to carry guns to defend and protect themselves and their students and so that they can take immediate action against oncoming threats or violence. If only we could get someone to the school the second anything happened. If we could do that then these incidents would soon become a thing of the past. If teachers were to be trained they would stop the horrible letters and phone calls parents get or even worse hear it on the news, they would be able to fight back or at least by the police force some time to arrive on the scene. It would make students feel safer at school, knowing that there is someone to protect them. The buro of gun violence told us that "There have been 23 school shootings in America this year, that is nearly one every other week," And in every single one of these school shootings there have been fatalities and/or injuries to people. Oh no no no these aren't just people they are children, young minds, people who haven't experienced life, people that only got a sliver of what life could have been.
