He showed those in the darkest of situations finding happiness. He showed what Tiny Tim a young crippled boy said, “God bless us all every one!”, where the spirit, then after told Scrooge that if things did not change the boy would die. This showed Scrooge that a little boy who was closer to death than Scrooge at the moment was a happier and better person, when the he could have had a true reason to be bitter and angry, and yet he does not complain of the trials he is currently going through. The spirit showed this to Scrooge as a wake up call, that hits him like a freight train. Looking from the start of "A Christmas Carol", which I will call from now on "the book", Scrooge is described in the worst way a human could be described. Dickens' fantastic descriptions drew an image of a sharp, misanthropic, covetous old miser. His greed for wealth and his superb selfishness made him stand out like a goose in a queue of ducks compared to the charity men's benevolence and his comely nephew's good heart. as "the book" describes, Scrooge is a "tightfisted hand at the grindstone...hard and sharp as flint, solitary as an oyster. "(page 12), highlighting his selfishness and hostility.
In the beginning of “A Christmas Carol” Scrooge is very hateful. He had many different people and those different people saw him in many different ways. I think the main people who saw him differently are Marley, Bob, and his nephew. Marley was Scrooge’s business partner. In the story, he died.

Scrooge tells him that he will pay him to buy the turkey and bring it back to him and if he does it fast enough he will get half-a-crown which Adam happily agreed to. When he returns with the turkey, he pays Adam and asks for them to send the turkey to Bob Cratchit. And when he sees the portly man he gives the portly man money for the poor which he is very grateful for his generosity.

We need warmth and cheer, Bob Cratichit!” This excerpt discloses the fact that Scrooge used to say “bah humbug!” But now he welcomes Bob Cratchit and wants warmth and cheer for Mr Cratchit and his family. So, Scrooge was eventually able to see the good in the Christmas spirit even if he took a long time to find it. Another way Scrooge modified those around him is he became more humanitarian.
This shows me how Scrooge hates Christmas. And it's because all he could remember about it is him being alone and not celebrating it. It also shows how he was sad, lonely, isolated, and left out. In the end Scrooge loved Christmas and would spread the cheer to everyone and give out more than he ever did making everyone feel welcome on Christmas, which he would have wanted as a kid. ,”’ Scrooge was better than his word.
He is very lonely and is unloved by most people. He is very rude to everyone. Even his own nephew. In the movie there are 3 spirits who come and visit Mr.Scrooge. First comes the spirit of Christmas Past.
