P3 research: I will now compare different research methodologies for health and social care. There are two types of research that are commonly used when research projects are being taken out, which aim to benefit health and social care related services. These two types of research are called quantitative research and qualitative research. The difference between these two is how they collect the information they need in different way and use different kinds of sources, but both benefit the health system. Without research being carried out medical professionals/and laboratory scientists would not be able to provide us with improved medications that can improve our health. Quantitative research is the collection of data. Individuals carrying …show more content…
It can help give you more of an understanding reading these, and can provide more in depth detail. However the disadvantage with this method of research is that they may not provide facts, more opinion and experience based. However usually journals are original sources of information before they are published. Also journals are good for research because most journals contain articles in that have been observed by other professionals first to check that the information is reliable. This make it a good source of information. This is why journals are a high valued source of research. (https://www.hope.ac.uk/media/liverpoolhope/contentassets/documents/library/help/media,12430,en.pdf) Books: Books are a great source of information for researchers. They are mostly based on facts, but also give us great information on different theory’s which can give you a better insight into topic, and help develop opinions. e-resources: This is good for research because you can search for a particular area. This can help researcher if they are doing research just about a topic in a particular area. The sources of information that are on here are usually checked by teachers/professionals which makes it a more reliable source for
MFD is sponsoring Marc in a FF.1 Course, he will need the occasional use of a pack and spare bottles. He will call ahead and we will leave a note in the book for the Duty Officer on anticipated days. He will pick and return the items on the same day and he has the code to the back door. Marc will leave the bottles and pack by the Office when he is finished to be returned to service. Any questions or problems, please let me know.
If we supposed that the service level agreement states that the system would not be offline or unavailable more than 45000 seconds a month then the goal would be to stay away from exciding the stated time. In the data from the years 2009-2017 we can see that the average total downtown is 44151.24 and we can determine that for the most part we are keeping with the goal of not exciding the 45000 mark. In the histogram, we can also see that there was also a high number of occurrences were the system was offline or unavailable for more than 45000.
During Q1-Q2 2015, I have achieve 5 out of 6 KPI target. The numbers provided below are average KPI from January to June 2015. Quantity of achievements: • Percentage of invoice posted against PO is 90.45%, which the target is 81%. Posting against PO can be maintained by not forgetting to deduct WHT and recording the correct amount of VAT.
Strengths: Trevor greets the client politely. From here, he confirms we have the correct email address on the file and provides the client 's username. He does a good job recommending the client attempt to use the password previously created. Prior to ending the call, he is sure to inquire if there are any other
After reading chapter seven-teen (17) about research and arguments for academic writing. I have to agree, that doing good and useful research for a paper that is going to be read not only by your professor in college, but also possibly by an audience that could include, professionals from your chosen field, is crucial. Therefore, the better the research that you collect, will result in the ability for you to write a better and more informed article or paper on your topic. What, I found interesting in this chapter was the example on “Nature Deficit Diorder” at the end of the chapter.
At the meet last night, Bella wasn 't feeling well and I kept her home from school today due to symptoms of stomach flu. It 's looking as though she will miss school again tomorrow, so she will also miss practice. If the symptoms subside and she starts to feel better she will be there. She started feeling ill on the bus heading to Jarrell yesterday.
AC 1.1: The development of social services during the post-war period. During the war there were shortages in all supplies such as foodstuffs, clothing, or petrol. As part war effort took government management of the rationing, ensuring that the pregnant women, children and the vulnerable got extra supplies. People favoured this action by the government so much that they were happy if it could continue.
Behaviourism The behaviourism theory is based on human and animal behaviour being shaped by conditioning and environmental factors. Behaviourists believe that unusual behaviours are caused by a person not adjusting adequately or appropriately to the environment or situation and learning or accidentally learning this response from the start. Behaviour therapy, aversions therapy and shaping are used as an intervention to change the persons response and make the responses more adaptive. The use of positive reinforcement is a can be very effective in changing a person or animals behaviour.
1. To make sure the care and treatment can continue to be given safely no matter which staff are on duty, 24 hours a day, seven days a week 2. To record the care that has been given to the patient/client 3. To make sure there is an accurate record to be used as ‘evidence’ when there is a complaint from a patient/client about the
I have done a lot of research in my undergrad, but I never knew what fully went into the publication part of research. It is important to know the different types of articles such as empirical studies, literature reviews, theoretical articles, methodological articles, and case studies (American Psychological Association, 2017). It is important to know and understand the differences between each type of article, because they focus on different aspects. I also found it interesting all the fine details you must consider when publishing research, such as conflict of interest.
Rape happens (pause), health issues occur (pause), and so do teen pregnancies(pause). Our bodies, our lives, our right to decide. Worldwide, 47,000 women die a year from unsafe abortions (pause). Anything from a simple herbal tea to a prescribed drug and occasionally even going to Mexico to have it done illegally.
Describe the communication requirements of different audiences Knowing your audience helps you to choose which form of communication to use, for example, if I was speaking to a child I would speak calmly with a slightly high pitched voice as its more soothing towards the child, where as if I was talking to a teacher I would speak in my normal tone, depending on my relationship with the teacher, where as if I was talking to someone very important I would speak in a polite, professional manner. Different audiences require different communication styles. When communicating with other people, it is important to adapt to meet their needs. If you are trying to pass on information to someone outside of your department, it would be impractical to use technical jargon that they would not normally come across or use. When speaking to a customer who is upset or angry, you should remain calm and ensure that the instructions you give them are completely understood in order to avoid further confusion.
In this second post I have greatly been inspired by the things that I have read. In the position on whether or not Google Scholar is a good resource for doctoral research, I would weight it as any other search tool. It is only as good as the foundation it stands on. What I mean about that statement is, if the information that you find has no credibility, then it can’t help you. I was reading in the Researchers of Tomorrow: The Research Behavior of Generation Y Doctoral Students in different groups was looking for particular information.
Chapter 5 explores “best practice” pertaining to who to prepare and plan for the research process. It gave great insight in to understanding and working with the three types of sources: primary, secondary, and tertiary. It gave clear and persist information on the definition of each, and how they are use in the early stages of planning your research plan. In Chapter 6, focused on “how to engage your sources productively and how to take notes so that readers can trust you when you rely on or critique a source” (Booth 85).
