I have choice nursing assistant because I love helping people. Making people feel better makes me happy. I have helped my mother, who is a CNA, with my uncle who has MS. When I was helping her was when I noticed that becoming a nursing assistant will be my long-term job. I have learned so much from my mother and other CNA’s. For starters, Career Cruising points out that some standard courses a nursing assistant will have to take are nursing skills, basic anatomy, nutrition, and infection control. You have to have all of your basic high school classes, such as English, Math Science, and History (Nursing). Next, it is important to note where is available. There are many schools in Kansas that provide nursing assistant classes. One of the schools I plan on attending is Wichita Area Technical College. Hutchinson Community College has the same classes and requirements, and is the second closest school. Allen Community College is also a great school to attend that is not that far. In addition, the length and the cost of the training is an important consideration. The total cost of a certification is: an undergraduate student is $2,934, a full-time student is $1,087, and a part-time student is $1,847. Wichita Are Technical College is a two-year school. Hutchinson also has a nursing program, and is also a two year school. Hutchinson cost more than WATC, the cost for an undergraduate is $5,546, full-time student is $2,149, and a part-time student is $3,397. Finally, there are several financial aid opportunities available at WATC. WATC offers a payment plan, you can use grants, loans, and scholarships. There are requirements for applying for financial aid. Upon reflection, I think this occupation is a great decision and an amazing opportunity. Another training that would be needed is some basic office schools and postsecondary nondegree award. There are many places in the United States to become a medical assistant. The top one of the training places I would like to go for training is Pasadena City College (PCC). Two other places I would like to go to for training is Orange Coast College (OCC), and Anthem College (AC).
